Area of Accountability:
· Layout, tack, and welding of fabricated parts per supplied print package.
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform mig, tig and stick welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
- Ability to operate a band saw to cut raw material used in weld and machine shop.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Accurately report daily activities of jobs worked in time keeping system.
- Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment to ensure parts are produced to print.
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
- Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school.
- 5 - 7 years of applicable experience in the welding area
- Ability to function as an effective team member.
- Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
- Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
- Ability to pass 2G Mig Welding certification test. Previous experience in production welding.
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to work in a production environment is preferred.
- Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs.
- Have ability to work in other departments such as Assembly.
- Must be able to read, speak and write legible in English.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
