Essential Functions:

·         Ensuring the payroll department has accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately four-thousand employees across the U.S.

·         Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

·         Manage and maintain payroll systems and software, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates as necessary.

·         Prepare and review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.

·         Oversee the processes for both internal and external audit requests.

·         Leading, training, and developing the payroll staff.

·         Collaborating with internal teams, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures.

·         Lead the analysis of payroll processes to identify efficiency opportunities, implement best practices, and drive process improvements.

·         Ensure accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of job procedures to minimize discrepancies.

·         Oversee the execution of analyses, reports, and projects as needed, including account analysis of payroll accounts.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

·         A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required.

·         Payroll certifications such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) are strongly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

·         A minimum of nine years’ experience in payroll or a related field is required.

·         Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, or on an as needed basis is required.

·         Strong analytical skills are required.

·         Ability to communicate effectively across various teams and/or levels is necessary.

·         Proficiency in a payroll system is essential.

·         Strong organizational skills and ability to be detailed oriented is crucial.

·         Ability to manage direct reports in various locations.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $115,000-125,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
