Position Purpose:
Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of presses, conveyors, and other associated equipment.
Hourly pay range: $26.15 - $36.54
Essential Functions:
- Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on all production equipment.
- Reads and interprets equipment prints/manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance repairs and service.
- Performs all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
- Performs all lubrication and filtration duties on all equipment assigned.
- Performs project maintenance as assigned.
- Communicates at all levels within the company - Department Manager, Supervisors and Operators as well as with all members of the maintenance department.
Education and Training
- High School Diploma or GED and related technical training.
- Minimum of five (5) years On the Job maintenance training and experience in a factory equipment environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and work orders.
- Must be able to use measuring equipment, welders and have own hand tools.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and work independently.
- Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
- Heavy press equipment experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, crouch and bend.
- Frequently required to bend and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders to perform various tasks.
- Good eye / hand coordination and good motor skills.
- Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer.
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to a noisy work environment.
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
- Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water.
- Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas.
- Steel toe boots are required at all times.
