The Human Resources Intern will provide support to the HR department while gaining exposure to a variety of areas including HR system administration, recruitment, onboarding and training. This role also involves contributing to HR projects and providing day-to-day support, offering valuable hands-on experience in HR operations.
 

Essential Functions:

    •        HR Systems Support:  Assist in testing and troubleshooting activities for Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) upgrades, new features, or system changes to ensure proper functionality before launch. Also supports entering data and performing audits.
    • Create User Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for HR system procedures, user guides, and FAQs.
    • Recruiting Assistance: Support the recruitment process for designated roles by reviewing resumes, assisting in writing job requisitions, reaching out to potential candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting the new hire orientation process.
    • Coordinate Training Logistics: Plan and organize training sessions, including securing training room spaces, preparing materials, communicating session details to participants, and ensuring pre-work is distributed as needed.
    • Assist in HR Projects: Participate in HR-related projects, such as employee engagement surveys, policy updates, process improvements, and contribute insights and research.
    • General Support: Provide day-to-day support to the HR team, including organizing files, answering employee queries, and assisting with various HR tasks as needed.
    • Enrolled student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a business related major, preferably in Human Resources.
    • Minimum GPA requirement 3.0/4.0.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems is a plus.
    • Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
    • Strong interest in HR technology and recruiting processes, with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
    • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of Human Resources a plus.
